Subject Choice Guidance

Towards the end of the Grade 9 year, learners are expected to choose which subjects they would like to continue with and this should be in accordance with the field of study they wish to pursue.  This is often a daunting and complicated process and the Subject Choice Assessments will guide learners through this decision making process. 

Subject Choice Assessments generally includes a battery of assessments that look at the following areas:

• Aptitude
• Personality
• Interests
• Values

The Subject Choice Guidance session will include an interview with the learner and parents/guardians, psychometric assessments, a written report as well as a formal verbal feedback session in which all the results of the above assessments are integrated and recommendations made are discussed.
