Choosing a career is often a daunting and complicated process, especially with today’s vast range of career possibilities. The aim of Career Guidance is to assist learners, graduates or professionals by offering them greater insight into their own strengths and personal preferences as well as offering insight into the world of work to allow them to make their decision with more confidence.
The Career Guidance session will include an interview with the individual, psychometric assessments, a detailed written report and a formal verbal feedback session where the results of the assessments are integrated and recommendations made with regards to the career choices are discussed.
The psychometric assessment generally looks at the following areas to assist with the decision-making process:
- Aptitude
- Personality
- Interests
- Values
Career guidance are suited for:
- Individuals nearing the end of their school career (Grade 10 – 12),
- Graduates who need some help entering the job market or
- Professionals who are considering a change in their career path.
