School Readiness Assessment
School-Readiness Assessments is psychological assessments that looks at your child’s intellectual readiness to cope with the formal demands of schooling. It identifies any developmental areas or delays that needs to be worked on to better equip your child to cope with their first year of ‘Big School’.
Our School Readiness Assessment assesses the following areas:
- Visual Perception
- Spatial Orientation – ability to visualise
- Reasoning – logical thinking
- Numerical –ability to grasp and count quantities, proportions, and numbers
- Gestalt – physical structures
- Co-ordination – evaluates the child’s motor skills
- Memory – visual memory
- Verbal Comprehension – comprehension of the spoken words
The School Readiness Assessments will include an interview with the parents/guardians, questionnaire completed by the teacher (if applicable), psychometric assessments, a written report as well as a formal verbal feedback session in which all the results of the above assessments are integrated and recommendations made are discussed.
